Issues that Matter the Most

Faith and Family

As a pastor and advocate for family values, I firmly believe that the strong families grow strong communities. I will continue to lead with family first values that aim to keep our community safe and ensuring the city keeps families engaged through outreach, community events, and good parks & recreation programming and facilities.

Improve Infrastructure

I will continue to advocate for improved roads and community infrastructure. This includes working to allocate more dedicated city funding and resources to advance this issue. My focus will include prioritizing key road projects to ensure they are facilitated on time and on budget such as the Trekell Road and McCartney Road extension and Florence Blvd.

Smart Growth

Casa Grande is growing and the biggest issues we face include roads, traffic, and infrastructure to accommodate the growth. My commitment to you is that this growth will be balanced with the right proportion of residential, commercial, and industrial use. I will hold developers and corporations accountable for their fair share of costs. Growth is inevitable, and we have to opportunity to grow it together focused on preserving our history and way of life, while embracing what tomorrow brings.

Fiscal Responsibility

I am a fiscal conservative and have been that way my entire life. Whether its balancing my personal budget throughout my NFL career or as your city councilmember, every dollar I spend has a purpose and delivers value. I will continue to ensure that our city budget is balanced and spending is allocated to value projects that are needed most such as roads and traffic management.

Local Jobs and the Economy

When I was growing up in Casa Grande, the quality and amount of jobs were minimal. Over the years, our community has transformed from an agricultural based economy to one that is built on advanced manufacturing, technology, and logistics. I will continue to work to attract and retain good employers to ensure our community has quality, high-paying jobs so that our residents do not need to leave the city to drive to Phoenix or Tucson. I will also ensure they are paying their fair share of development costs, impact fees, and taxes so that residents are passed on the direct costs of growth in the city.
