About Anthony Edwards

Anthony is recently retired after 23 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals as Senior Director of Player Development  and Team Chaplain. Throughout his tenure with the Arizona Cardinals, he assisted players with career transition in and out of the NFL through continuing education, financial education, career internships and dealing with personal issues through player assistance programs. He directed all fellowship services before every game for the Arizona Cardinals, and spearheaded weekly bible studies for the players, coaches and their family. Anthony was also in charge of the Arizona Cardinals Training Camp – 2004–present, and also Travel Advance Man 2004– present. He is a Former member of the Steering Committee for Player Development/Engagement in the NFL. Before joining the front office staff, Anthony was a decorated NFL wide receiver and special team’s player, spending 2 years with the Philadelphia Eagles and 8 years with the Arizona Cardinals.

Off the field, Anthony is an advocate for the Casa Grande community through his own work including; Pastor of Greater Evangelist Temple (C.O.G.I.C.), Honorary Board member of the Boys and Girls Club,  and former Board member of Casa Grande Union High School District. He Attended New Mexico Highlands University where he majored in Business Management and was an accomplished collegiate athlete that broke all the schools records as a wide receiver and was the Team captain for 3 years, MVP, and All-American.

Anthony and his wife, MaryAnn have three children; Tony (35), Torrey (31) and Tynette (27). All are products of Casa Grande and have grown up to do amazing things with their lives. In his spare time, Anthony enjoys following professional sports, traveling with his wife, and volunteering in the community.
